On 9 October 2026, the Red Ensign of the Davis Islands was raised on the islands for the first time.

The inaugural flag planting was carried out by His Excellency the Governor-General, with the assistance of HM Coast Guard – Davis Islands.

Please note: the flag and plaque were placed only ceremonially, for the duration of the event. All items were removed from the island afterwards, as the islands are a nesting site for migratory birds, in keeping with applicable New York City laws.

The ensign was raised alongside a Davis Islands plaque, overlooking the waters of Pelham Bay.
